International Report: Besic vs. Lukaku and more

Two Blues faced off in Zenica while more Everton players get ready for tough matchups on Tuesday.

Muhamed Besic's Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romelu Lukaku's Belgium played to a 1-1 draw Monday night in Euro 2016 qualifying action. Besic put in another strong performance, going the full 90 minutes, while Lukaku was pulled in the 57th minute.

Evertonians will be encouraged by Besic's international efforts. He managed to neutralize Wales' Gareth Bale on Friday and again was a defensive force against the Belgians. Bosnia, however, are fifth in Group B with two points after two draws.

Lukaku managed a decent shot on goal, but it was stopped by Asmir Begovic. The striker was removed from the match after Belgium equalized, and his struggles to impress continue both at the international and club level. Belgium hold on to fourth place in Group B with four points.

Today's Group D qualifiers could see more Toffees on the pitch. Steven Naismith's Scotland go on the road to take on Poland, who are coming off an impressive 2-0 defeat of World Cup winners Germany. Germany hopes to rebound against Republic of Ireland in a match that could see Blues Darron Gibson and Aiden McGeady represent their country.
