Everton Complete Work Permit For Striker

Epsilon

Everton has announced that they have secured a work permit to bring Monaco striker Lacina Traore to England. The Ivory Coast international signed with the French side earlier this month, and already he is set to go on loan.

Earlier Traore was set to join West Ham, the East London club had even received a work permit, but after Everton expressed interest the youngster drove up the motorway to Liverpool to meet with club representatives.

Manager Roberto Martinez has already expressed his interest in Traore, insisting the 6'-8" striker would fit in well with the Toffees plans.

Though 23, Traore has already spent time in  3 different countries including Belgium and Russia. He has averaged approximately 1 goal in every 3 games during his career, but his height is what will interest most fans, and possibly Everton as well. With Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman booming up the flanks, Traore would be a perfect striker to find the ball in the air. Though he is unlikely to displace Lukaku at the top of the depth chart, it is a shrewd move by Martinez if he can complete the loan.
