Aiden McGeady has completed his move to Everton for an as yet undisclosed fee from Russian club Spartak Moscow. The 27-year-old winger has been with Spartak since 2010 when he was sold by Celtic for £9.5 million. He made 72 appearances for the Russians, scoring 11 goals.
Here's our evidence!
First, a post on Spartak's official website that announces the two clubs have agreed in principle to a deal. That's a good sign. Here's a rough translation of the short post.
Spartak and Everton agreed in principle to move to the English club 27-year-old midfielder Aiden McGeady.
"Spartak Moscow" Aiden thanks for the years spent in the team and wishes him success in his future career.
If that's not enough proof for you, McGeady is at Goodison for Saturday's match against Norwich apparently getting his medical completed ahead of the move. The fact that he walked onto the pitch before the match wearing an Everton shirt is probably a good sign as well.

McGeady is a creative winger with solid pace and the ability to use both of his feet, which for me sounds like a player Everton could definitely use at the moment.
