Today's latest transfer rumor comes from a couple sources that claim Everton are trying to work out a £4 million move for Republic of Ireland and Spartak Moscow winger Aiden McGeady.
McGeady has spent three years in Moscow after a £9.5m move from Celtic but is entering the final year of his contract.
New Everton boss Roberto Martinez reportedly tried to bring the 27-year-old midfielder to Wigan in January but the deal fell apart at the last moment. For what it's worth, McGeady has spoken about his desire to leave Russia and has said he'd like to play in the EPL.
McGeady is capable of playing on both the left and right wing and would certainly give Everton a nice mix of talent and experience, along with putting pressure on Steven Pienaar who while still effective, was notoriously inconsistent at times and has a bad tendency of disappearing in games.
Sunderland is always rumored to be after McGeady so if this is true, lets hope former Everton player Diniyar Bilyaletdinov says some nice things about his time with the Toffees.
