Everton at Swansea City: Team News and Gamethread

Everton will be looking for 3 points to start off the Christmas period with the 3 points as the travel out to Swansea City to take on one of Roberto Martinez's former clubs. The biggest shock in the leadup to this one is the appearance of youngster Apostolos Vellios on the bench. Apparently Nikica Jelavic has felt a bit under the weather, and this gives the young Greek his first appearance on the bench this season.

Martinez made two changes to last week's lineup. McCarthy has returned from suspension and replaces Leon Osman, while Kevin Mirallas has also returned in place of the injured Gerard Duelofeu.

Barkley has also shaved his head. I'm not sure if he lost a bet, or if he's just trying to be Tim Howard. Whatever the reason is I hope it wasn't his choice. That is a uniformly terrible look and it just makes me sad.
