Everton v Aston Villa: Live Prote.....GameThread, I mean

Ahh! Got scared when I first saw this. His deep, penetrating gaze has voided any and all confidence in any attacking players on both clubs.
Ahh! Got scared when I first saw this. His deep, penetrating gaze has voided any and all confidence in any attacking players on both clubs.

It's disappointing how this protest is almost overshadowing the actual match. Since that's happening everywhere else, this will be the last mention of the protest on this post.

Who will win the battle of the underachievers?

The sad pathetic almost-bankrupt club, Everton or a club managed by a sad pathetic loser - Alex McLeish (note: joke is on us because Mcleish has exactly infinity times more trophies than Moyes).

This battle of the Scots is going to be more than a hard grind because both the managers refuse to play anything other than defense first strategies. So do not expect excitement (Now that I have proclaimed this, get ready to see 4-5 goals scored!). Darrent Bent is the only hope for goals being scored. Do not hope for this.

Complaints:

Darren Bent, why did you have to not be injured. I had an ounce of hope. You ruined it with your fitness. I hate you. Die. I hope you are still dating Steve Bruce's daughter. That makes me happy. But seriously, pull you rhamstring exactly 1 minute into this match (and don't score in that time either!).

Sadness:

Everything that is going on with Everton right now. I am nervous of how our squad is going to pan out. We need some players to step up (ahem, Jack Rodwell) and we need some luck (Strac turning into Tevez 3.0 without the drama). This will not happen, at least not immediately. That means we are going to go through some growing pain. Or we score 4 goals and I stuff my foot in my mouth.

Injury Update:

According to his Twitter (It's this weird social networking website, has anyone heard of it?), John Heitinga has injured his proximal head of fibula (his words, not mine - It means calf) and will not be able to play against Villa. Awesome, less depth (sarcasm).

Starting Lineups will be available closer to match time.

Everton Starting XI: Howard, Hibbert, Distin, Jagielka, Baines, Coleman, Rodwell, Fellaini, Osman, Bilyaletdinov, Cahill

Subs: Mucha, Vellios, Barkley, Gueye, Drenthe, Stracqualursi, Neville

And as usual, comment below.
