Following the unfortunate events of the past few days, mainly in London, I thought it appropriate to place the current stance of both clubs on here as I know we have readers from around the world who will either be in attendance, like myself, or who will get up at whatever o'clock to watch on TV.
At present, both Tottenham Hotspur and Everton explain on their official websites that the game on Saturday is still currently going ahead as planned. Obviously Everton officials are in talks with their counterparts at Spurs and the situation is constantly being monitored.
A statement on the Spurs website reads:
Following the disturbances in Tottenham over the weekend, the Club has been in ongoing discussions with the necessary authorities regarding this coming weekend's Premier League fixture against Everton. We can advise fans that at this stage the game is going ahead and the Club is doing everything it can to ensure that this remains the position. Fans are advised to please check the website for further updates and in particular travel details as we shall look to advise fans on best available travel options.
I will continue to update the website with the latest developments as and when they arise.
