Welcome back to your always exciting ToffeeLinks this extremely dreary and depressing Wednesday, at least for me. Today we remember an Everton player, take a look at some youngsters who have a bright future, as well as the perfect example of the silly season. For all links Everton related just click below the jump, also make sure you check out Darren's letter to Mr. Elstone just below this article and as always leave your thoughts in the comments.
Johnson was Everton's oldest living player and died just short of his 91st birthday. While a player in the 40's he suited up alongside men such as Ted Sagar and Joe Mercer.
Another highly touted prospect when he arrived, Mustafi may be heading to Serie A in a bid to get some first team action. Hopefully this gives him a chance to jump start his career and give Moyes a reason to keep him around after his deal expires at the end of the upcoming season.
Anichebe tipped to become great
I believe the words I'm looking for here start with B and S. Former Everton coach Daniel Amokachi says he believes the Nigerian international can still live up to hype surrounding him when he first broke through at Goodison despite his unfortunate rash of injuries.
Top youngsters to help England
John Lundstram is tipped as one of the top 10 U-17 and U-19 players that are the future for England. This of course all but ensures he won't ever see the field for Everton, let alone any other EPL club. Hopefully I'm wrong and the left-footed midfielder will be able to contribute in the next few years or so.
Neil Taylor set for Newcastle move
Here is where we being the fun of silly season, with Swansea's Neil Taylor being tipped to sign with Newcastle soon, which brings us to the next article published within an hour of this one
Taylor to snub Newcastle for Everton
Ah don't you just love the silly season, someone is having a good laugh at everyone's expense every day it seems. Until next time COYB!
