Phil Jagielka and Leighton Baines headline the list of Blues who are in international action this weekend. The pair have been named on Fabio Capello’s squad for the EURO 2012 qualifier against
Jags looks set to start in the heart of the defence against Wales and possibly against Ghana while Baines will almost certainly play the role of understudy to Ashley Cole on Saturday, though he may get a start against the Black Stars at Wembley next week.
Elsewhere John Heitinga will be in action for Holland for two games against Hungary, while Dinyar Bilyaletdinov and Russia take on Armenia in Group B before a friendly away to Qatar.
Tim Howard is in the USA squad that face friendlies against Argentina (March 26) and Paraguay (March 29), whilst Victor Anichebe is in the Nigerian team that play Ethiopia and Kenya in Abuja on March 27 and March 29.
Crystal Palace loanee James Vaughan is in the England Under-21 side while Magaye Gueye (France), Nathan Craig (Wales) and Shane Duffy (Republic of Ireland) are all in their respective Under-21 sides.
Luke Garbutt is in the England Under-19s squad for their game against Holland in Amsterdam (March 29) while Shkodran Mustafi is preparing for matches against Belgium and Ukraine for Germany Under-19s.
John Lundstram, Hallam Hope and Anton Forrester will represent England Under-17s in a tournament in Brussels which begins on March 26, and Jasper Johns is in the England Under-16s squad to face Northern Ireland (March 23).
