The end to all Landon Donovan rumors. Well, on this site at least.
Though Lando rumors were kind of fun for quite a while, I think it has crossed the threshold to becoming painful for Blues fans. Well I'm sick of all of it. I'm to the point where I don't even care if he comes back to Everton at all. That last sentence was a complete lie by the way. I would love for him to come back. He was quite spectacular with us and definitely bumped up the club's overall energy. I'm just sick of the rumors because it's toying with my brain.
More after the break.
If you don't know already, the LA Galaxy were booted from the MLS Cup playoffs last week after a 3-0 loss to FC Dallas. This means that Donovan's season is officially over and journalists, fans, and news sites can start to speculate about his future (whether it's a loan or a transfer). People already started bombarding Donovan with questions about his future right after the loss.
Donovan have answered all the questions with very similar answers. He pretty much said he was super tired after playing nonstop for more two years. He needs time to rest and reevaluate and then he will decide whether he wants to go out on loan or not.
"My plan is to rest over the next few weeks and get in a mental place where I can make a proper decision," said Donovan, who played in 30 of the past 33 months, including all four of the United States' games during the World Cup.
"If you ask me today, I would say 'no' because my body is exhausted. If you ask me in two months, I would probably say 'yeah' because I'm excited again."

He also made it seem that if he does go on loan, it will most likely be Everton (which is great news). It does seem that he doesn't have any ideas of leaving the LA Galaxy, though many players say that and still leave when the right opportunity comes. We are top of the list for transfer destinations, with Aston Villa, Manchester City, and AC Milan also in the conversation.
So what does all this mean for the blog (yup, that's the most important thing)? I'm pretty much not going to talk about Lando until there is some major news. So if he decides for or against a loan in January, or if he transfers somewhere, that is all I'm going to write about. Nothing else.
So goodbye for now Donovan. Hopefully we'll hear good news from you soon.
