Are Everton going backwards with their new kit for next season?

A week after announcing that the current shirt sponsorship deal with Chang will not be renewed, Kenyan betting firm Sportpesa released a tweet this morning which they promptly deleted. The image in the tweet appeared to show a mock-up of the new Everton jersey with no sponsor’s logo and the sponsor’s name in bland text across the front.

Everton have been promoting that the official kit release date is tomorrow, 16th May but with this new kit having been leaked, will the club push that back?
There has been plenty of promotion in the last few days talking about the new jersey having the Umbro diamoned pattern on the shoulders and sleeves and a profile of Dixie Dean on the upper back above the name and number.

There has been no official comment from the club regarding the kit or the Sportpesa sponsorship chatter, though a couple of Everton officials made the trip to Tanzania to meet with the Minister of External Affairs a few weeks ago with a view to playing a friendly during the pre-season in the East African country.
