Although I am disappointed that Everton didn't make the Champions' League, I think that we can definitely view this season as a success. Let's face it, we were never going to do well in the Champions' League and although we would have got the money for it, it would have been tough to play a new set of fixtures when we were never going to succeed.
On the other hand, I think that we can definitely do well in the Europa League. We do not have to go through as many qualifiers to get there because we will come 5th, which is always a bonus. Furthermore, we will get a healthy amount of money after competing in this tournament, and I think that we can do well in Europe next year.
We will probably not win it, but if we get Barry back and add a striker (we have already made a deal to get Deulofeu for next year) I think that we can make a deep run in this tournament, which will not only come with financial bonuses, but it will also make us a target for potential signings.
Although it is disappointing not to have come 4th, we can find many positives in our year and look to next year for more success.
