Mirallas was initially diagnosed with a cramp during the match, but further examination showed a small tear in the forward's groin, which means he'll miss the Southampton, Manchester City, and Hull City matches.
It's a bummer for sure, a real blow to be honest, but Martinez has been managing to deal with injuries all season while somehow managing to keep the team going forward. As much as you'd like to have everyone available for the final three games, it's not like Everton are going to catch a break, I mean, come on, we're Everton.
The injury shouldn't prevent Mirallas from potentially being a part of Belgium World Cup squad this summer, but that doesn't really help us.
Sigh.
**Update on Sylvain Distin and other injuries**
The French defender is doubtful for the remaining three games as well after he went off at halftime complaining of a tight hamstring. He will be re-evaluated in another 24 hours.
Phil Jagielka meanwhile continues to make his comeback from a hamstring injury of his own. Darron Gibson has also resumed training with the squad.
