Though supporters certainly circled this match on their calendars when the fixture list was released before the season, with the Champions League push in full swing, the return of David Moyes to Goodison Park has been lost in the collective consciousness of Evertonians.
The good and the bad of the Scotsman have been well documented since his departure after last season. Brian wrote an excellent piece on the matter recently.
Brian's feelings on the matter are clear, and I am certainly inclined to agree with him. Moyes did an immeasurable amount for this club in his decade in charge, and a few unacceptable transfer offers and the success of a new manager (depending how you measure it, as Brian notes), don't change that.
Of course, there are varying opinions on the former manager, and supporters of all kinds will be at Goodison Park on Sunday.
So what do you think? If you were at Goodison Park this weekend, what kind of reception would you give David Moyes? Have your say in the poll and comments below!
