I'll begin this by saying that the source of this story is less than credible so please don't work yourself into a frenzy over this story. According to the Daily Mail, Hamburg is considering a move for Everton striker Nikica Jelavic who according to quotes from the story, is no longer wanted by Roberto Martinez.
I'm high dubious of this report considering that Everton could use depth up front, but there's always the possibility that Jelavic isn't buying into what Martinez is selling and wants out. Whatever the case may be, it's not worth going nuts over but we should at least keep this in the back of our minds.
The rumor is that Hamburg are working up a £6 million bid for the Croatian striker but it doesn't sound like their financial situation is much better than what we're used to at Everton.
So who knows. At this point, it's just a rumor but it's worth considering how you might feel about Jelavic leaving. He had a great start with the Toffees but struggled mightily for most of last season, never really finding a consistent form. Would you rather have money and the possibility of a new signing at this point?
