Tuesday Everton News and Links

The Everton U-21 team continue their good form after a horrific start to their season, with a 2-0 win over the Norwich U-21. It's good to see that these guys are actually playing better. I was starting to get concerned that none of our young guys were any good and we had no youth to come up in the future.

On to the links:

"Everton were not behind Steven Pienaar's decision to quit Bafana."

Should Leighton Baines be first choice for England?
"Regardless of how Ashley Cole is punished for his Twitter discrepancies, Everton's Baines is in top form, younger and brings a skill at dead ball situations that could prove invaluable."

-- It's pretty ridiculous that Baines is still not the top choice left back. If everyone is honest, he is in much better form than anyone else at the position. And it's not even close.
